ABOUT ME

I am a widowed single mother of three trying to live each day to it's fullest. I am a runner, cyclist and passionate fundraiser for LIVESTRONG. I run and ride in honor of the 28 million living with cancer and in memory of my husband, sister, mother, father and aunt who have all lost their battle with cancer.

Over the past 8 years I have raised over $57,000 for the LIVESTRONG Foundation and have run 7 marathons, a year of half marathons, and cycled across Iowa four times.

In 2016 I plan on repeating the most challenging event I have ever participated in, RAGBRAI - a ride across Iowa, in 100 degree heat, camping in a tent and cycling 7 consecutive days. This may not seem like a lot but as a widow raising three children on my own while working full time, training for such an event is a major challenge. All to raise funds for LIVESTRONG again. This years goal - another $10,000 plus for 12 years of survivorship after losing Brian to cancer.
